10 ways to simplify your life in 10 minutes

Do you have a few minutes to dedicate to simplifying your life this week? If so, here's a quick and easy way to get started.


Set a timer for 10 minutes and choose one of the tasks below. When the timer buzzes, you are done for the day. Repeat as often as needed.

 

  1. Place a donation box or bag near your main entry into your home and add to it regularly.

  2. Pull unwanted blankets, sheets, and towels from the linen closet.

  3. Review your inexpensive jewelry and place items in a small bag for donation.

  4. Open your closet and remove any unwanted shoes and hats.

  5. Fill a box with books to sell or donate.

  6. Clear your kitchen counter by placing dishes in the dishwasher, re-homing items to drawers or pantry, and recycling junk mail.

  7. Take a look at your mugs, cups, and kitchen gadgets. Place unwanted items in a donation box.

  8. Open your pantry and remove any expired food items hiding in the back.

  9. Review your to-do list and cross off at least one non-essential task.

  10. Delete games and apps you no longer use from your phone.
